When three time Grammy award winner MC Hammer and Cash4Gold met in Stockton, California, to assist 400 families in need, it wasn’t the first time the two worked together.

They also collaborated on this year’s critically acclaimed Super Bowl commercial starring the hip-hop star and late night icon Ed McMahon. The event is expected to be the first of several sponsored by Cash4Gold and MC Hammer.

“Feed The Children is a cause close to my heart,” said the music superstar. “Jeff Aronson, Howard Mofshin, and their 300+ employees at Cash4Gold should be considered heroes for their generous commitment to provide for families who need help.”

On April 8, 2009, they assisted Feed the Children by providing 400 southern California families in need with boxes of food and personal care items. MC Hammer was on hand to pass out the boxes of items that are designed to help supplement a family for up to one week.

Feed The Children, founded in 1979, is a nonprofit organization that supplies children and their families around the world with medicine, food, clothing, and other necessities. The organization targets families affected by famine, war, poverty, and natural disasters. More than 100 million pounds of helpful goods were provided to families by the organization in 2008 alone.

“As soon as our friend MC Hammer shared with us his commitment to the global mission of Feed The Children, we wanted Cash4Gold.com to get involved,” said Cash4Gold Co-Founders Jeff Aronson and Howard Mofshin. “Through this week’s event, and a series of additional local events to benefit families in need, the whole team at Cash4Gold looks forward to making a positive change in thousands of people’s lives in this community.”
